Welcome to Belinda and Clive's home in the sun
We have recently moved after long process, which has been totally worth it. We have a beautiful local town surrounded by walking and cycling routes with amazing surroundings.
My family at home consists of myself, my husband and our amazing rescue pointer dog Henry and Bengal cat, Kimbo. We love life and both have outgoing and friendly personalities. In our day to day life when not working and my husband is less busy in his business we take long walks with our dog, drives out, visit the beach, cool off in our dip pool or visit our local swimming pool centre with outdoor pools, go horse riding, socialise with our neighbours, attend local fiestas and we both enjoy cooking.
As we are both native English and myself a qualified Cambridge and TEFL teacher you will be immersed into our language and culture. Most of the activities we do are also carried out in English, so apart from one on one lessons you will be practicing all the time.
I love to use listening skills tests and also include media (we have free wifi) and board games in English to bring in some fun aspects of lessons. I work on areas where you need the most help i.e. Grammar, where I provide clear charts to help you with the tenses. You will experience our daily life, cook with us and come along with me on excursions. We have amazing outside space for relaxation with fantastic views and a waterfall dip pool for cooling down. Also we will take you to a beach whether for a stroll, picnic or to experience an afternoon out on the coast.
Our English friends often visit us, where we would often cook and socialise outside after the sun goes down. We watch English television and films plus listen to English music. In some lessons I include music where I will provide lyrics as gap fills. I also supply crosswords to help you with your reading and thinking skills alongside interesting comprehension and quizzes.
We have a selection of books for you to choose from and you can choose music to listen to whenever you wish.
If you wish to go horse riding, play golf or do watersports. I can organise these things also. (please see the extra costs for these).
Any cultural trips, shopping trips, beach trips, walks, swimming, lessons, social things, laundry, wifi 50 mg and meals at home or a picnic are all included.
At the end of your stay I will use my Cambridge assessment and give you feedback for free.
Finally, I have a passion for teaching and promise you an enjoyable stay while improving your English.
We have previously accommodated two guests, specifically a mother and daughter. However, based on our preference, we prefer to have one-on-one interactions with our guests in order to provide the utmost attention and personal space. Additionally, our guests have the option to utilize our roof solarium for additional privacy. We offer various activities such as cultural trips, shopping excursions, beach visits, walks, swimming, lessons, social gatherings like BBQs, cooking sessions, laundry services, 50 Mbps wifi, and meals either at home or as a picnic. Since we reside in an area where English is widely spoken and regularly socialize with friends in our garden bar, guests will have ample opportunities for immersion. Moreover, our media systems, including NETFLIX, are all in English (subtitles are available). Our goal is to ensure that each individual has the best possible experience while staying with us.
As we have a great outdoor living space and garden bar, we enjoy cooking and socializing outside as often as we can. If our guests are a little shy, then we appreciate this, so our socializing outside can just be us.
Copy: As a teacher you can benefit from my fun inspired English lessons where I use media, board games as well as traditional methods. My program will be tailor made to your needs and will practice most where your English skills are weak. I also provide English reading books for you to practice your reading skills, listening skills lessons and pronunciation practice. We will cover spelling and grammar practice through a fun media program I use.
Activities can include swimming, going to the beach, taking walks, going horse riding, bowling, shopping and socialising. We can go and help out at a horse stables close by. There are so many things available within walking distance or a 5-minute drive you certainly will not be bored.
You can help me cook some English food and cakes and learn how we spend our life on a daily basis in this fantastic, friendly, low crime community.
We have a great media system in our home including a TV receiver box (for English speaking films) so we can work together on screen as well as in books. You can learn about our recent adventures in Africa, Asia and our travels to other places, plus learn about how our lives in England were so different.
J'ai passé un séjour court mais absolument incroyable avec cette famille. Les compétences culinaires du père d'accueil sont exceptionnelles, en particulier en ce qui concerne sa paëlla (j’ai peut-être gagné un peu de poids car ils m’ont “trop” bien nourris). Nous avons même organisé une soirée karaoké avec leurs amis (tous anglais) dans le bar de la maison, et ils étaient tous adorables. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour.
