I am a mother of a 26-year-old daughter. I have also worked with children aged 9 months to 8 years old for 21 years. Your English immersion experience :
A typical day with us

Normally, I am awake at 6:30 am to prepare breakfast for the students. My students are ready by 7:15 am for breakfast. Breakfast consists of a selection of cereal, fruits, yoghurts, and toast with orange juice, coffee, or tea.

A menu for lunch and dinner will be available, planned for the week, and all students will have a copy. I try and encourage students to prepare the meal with me on weekends. Students should be ready to leave for language school at 7:45 am, depending on the distance to school. Classes can either be full day or half day, and homework is prepared by their school and possibly includes activities after school. Arrival home can be between 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm; students normally notify me via WhatsApp of any late arrival home or going out with friends, depending on their age.

Any planned activities are organized for 10 am for a full day or half day from 12:00 midday, with a packed lunch provided by the host or lunch out. We will also plan some activities or excursions on weekends. We enjoy having a Netflix movie night with popcorn and soft drinks, and occasionally we will go to the cinema or bowling. We also go on walks around the area, visiting local parks, and go to our local gym for classes and swimming. We are a small family and like to be out and about, so it is never a boring home!
