We are Nicola & Nigel and we live in the Beautiful Brittany countryside. We have 9 grown up children between us and grandchildren from 18 years - 2 years old. We have a black Cocker Spaniel called Stella, 2 cats called Bert and Ernie, 5 chickens and donkeys in the adjoining field. We were foster carers in the UK for 18 years before settling in France to run a Chambre d'hotes.

A typical day with us

Our typical day starts at 8am with me feeding the chickens. We can prepare breakfast together at 9am, (we have a chambre d'hotes, so there may be other guests at breakfast) then we can plan our day. In the morning, we usually walk our dog Stella at the local lake, beach, or town (weather dependent) before coming back for lunch. The afternoons are free to do as you please or we can visit a local attraction like the Aquarium at St Malo, Museums, or local towns. After our evening meal, we can play board games or watch a film - the day will be spent speaking English.
