We love people and love students from around the world. We have hosted for over 15 years and have had 37 + students in our house. We welcome everyone.
We mostly host High School Students and ESL, and University Students. We both work full-time, but area alway available for dinner around 5-6pm where we share/eat/talk. If you are visit (no going to school), you can use our home as a hub for exploring, some of our guests have done that in the past.
**Note, we are only a homestay, we don't teach English, that would be done in the above mentioned schools. Thanks ***
Our house is just one short bus, or quick walk to the LRT (transit train) that links the whole city. There is a mall very close also that has lots of nice shops. We love to host ESL students from High School to University. There are many High Schools around here and the University and Downtown are one LRT ride away. Many of our students jump on the train (LRT) to go downtown. Edmonton is about 3 hours (by car) from the Rocky Mountains (Which are amazing).
Breakfast is on your own, we do back a lunch for your day/school and we most always meet for dinner in the evening. We do celebrate special days like Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, with lotsa food and Karaoke.
