To participate in this immersion program, you must book a minimum of 10 hours or more of Spanish classes per week that we can do at home, outdoors, in the garden, or on the terrace, or even on the go!
** I do not accept individual students. I accept closed groups, either friends, colleagues, or family members. The minimum number of guests received at once is 2 and the maximum is 4.
I am from Spain, but I have family from Argentina and France, so I have grown up in a multicultural and enriching environment. Additionally, I have lived in London, United Kingdom for over twenty years. I have worked in the tourism, education, and translation sectors, and have held various senior management positions in both Spain and England.
As a teacher, over the past two decades I have experienced the joy of achieving my goals as an educator, measuring the success of the many students I have taught, from the youngest to the oldest. In my teaching practice, I place great emphasis on the importance of immersion in language and culture, through games, sports, movies, music, books, and simple yet enriching conversations. I firmly believe that culture and language are inseparably linked and that a complete understanding of a language cannot be achieved without a deep knowledge of the culture from which it emerges.
I have traveled extensively and have visited many places such as Turkey, Egypt, Peru, Colombia, India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, United States, France, Germany, Italy, and Austria, among others.
I am particularly interested in photography, travel and tourism, art, film, and theater.
I enjoy walking my two Golden Retrievers: Rumba and Samba; hiking and being in nature; swimming in the Mediterranean Sea and being outdoors in general.
I love spending time with my family and friends, organizing gatherings, and being the hostess of special occasions.
I love making new friends from all corners of the world. I try to instill in my students a great understanding and appreciation of the Spanish-speaking countries and cultures. So if you are ready to immerse yourself in Spanish culture, I await you here in Barcelona!
ABOUT MY FAMILY
At home, there are 5 of us, we get along very well and always help each other as much as we can, we are a great team:
My mother: Josefina, an exemplary, elegant, friendly, and generous woman. She is the matriarch of the family and nothing would work without her. She loves decoration and fashion, in fact, there are no limits when we go shopping, time ceases to exist :-)
My father: Juan, a very active man, when he is not cooking (for everyone) he is painting, and when he is not doing that, he is writing. He has a very special sense of humor and is like an encyclopedia, why do I need Alexa? ;-)
My Rumba: She loves taking naps, in bed, on a chair, on the sofa, anywhere, and if she can settle on someone's lap, even better... but her favorite place is sleeping on the bed and resting her head on the pillow, next to her mom!
My Samba: She is very active, she wakes me up every morning to go for a walk. She loves playing ball with her mom, and running; in fact, she can run kilometers and kilometers without looking back. She is in charge of guarding the house because she likes to protect her family.
They say that good things come in small packages, and this charming little town is no exception to the rule. From the best tourist attractions to exciting adventures, there are plenty of fun things to do in Dosrius and the rest of the Costa del Maresme, in the province of Barcelona.
Dosrius offers visitors peaceful walks to enjoy nature and discover the 'El Montnegre i el Corredor' Park, Spain's first 'silence park': a refuge from noise. The green vegetation and fresh air will be your companions every morning before your Spanish classes.
MY HOME IS YOUR HOME
My house is very large, with spacious open spaces and gardens, from which you can contemplate the picturesque 'El Montnegre i el Corredor' Park and access it literally from the back door of my house. If you feel like swimming in the pool, it's very easy, we are a 5-minute drive from the village pool, and if you prefer the sea, like me, we can get to the beach by car in 20 minutes.
We have 5 double bedrooms, 2 of which we offer to our guests. One of the double bedrooms, with 2 single beds, is actually a suite, so you will have the bathroom inside your room and just for yourself. The other double bedroom, with a double bed, has the bathroom right next to it. Depending on the number of people or the package you book, the bathroom will be for private or shared use.
The kitchen-dining area is very cozy because it has a wood-burning stove, and in winter it is wonderful, it also has a reading corner where you can relax and immerse yourself in one of the many books in the small library. Oh, there is also a collection of board games and puzzles, so there is something for everyone.
In the living room, we usually watch movies and documentaries on Netflix, as it is great to watch films for learning Spanish. You can also watch the news and find out what is happening in the world, although sometimes I don't know if it's better not to find out and live in peace for a few hours.
My favorite part of the house is the main terrace, in the barbecue area, I have breakfast, lunch, and dinner there during the spring and summer months, and if the weather is nice, also in autumn. For me, it is the main dining room and it is where we have most meals and dinners with family, friends, neighbors, and guests.
Live and breathe the Spanish way of life and immerse yourself in language, culture, history, gastronomy, art, and much more. My house is your house!

SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM WITH SPANISH CLASSES
This immersion program offers you the unique opportunity to live and learn Spanish in the home of your teacher in Spain. I only accept people who take Spanish classes along with their stay, as this program is a combination of language, culture, history, gastronomy, and much more.
I have accumulated over twenty years of significant and progressive experience in a variety of teaching, management, and exam preparation roles for Edexcel and Cambridge International Education. I am also an official DELE examiner for the levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, as well as an official SIELE examiner. In fact, you can prepare and take the exam with me, as I belong to an accredited SIELE center.
I am a native speaker of Spanish and Catalan; I also speak English fluently and French at a good level. I am studying Arabic because I am passionate about linguistic challenges, and I would learn many more languages if I had more free time. I believe that language learning plays a fundamental role in preparing today's students for their future careers in a global market.
To participate in this immersion program, you must book a minimum of 10 hours or more of Spanish classes per week, which we can do at home, outdoors, in the garden, or on the terrace - even on the go!
The program is tailored to each student's level and is based on your needs - it is a completely personalized program. The idea is to gain natural exposure to the language through everyday conversations with natives, both with me and with my family and friends, as well as excursions and social outings.
I do not accept individual students. I accept closed groups, whether they are friends, colleagues, or family members. The minimum number of guests received at one time is 2, and the maximum is 4.
I guarantee my hosts that there will be no other guests of the same nationality during their stay, unless a closed group of friends or family members comes.
My day starts around 7am with a morning walk in 'El Montnegre i el Corredor', where I take the opportunity to enjoy nature and see how happy my dogs, Rumba and Samba, are while walking in the forest. The truth is that the three of us are doing very well, and sometimes we meet other people and dogs who are also out for a walk, it's very entertaining!
After the walk, I brush their fur, play with them for a while, change clothes, and prepare breakfast for them and myself. They eat dog food, while I enjoy various fruit smoothies. We love to relax in the garden and enjoy the views before starting the workday!
Although my schedule is very flexible, I like to be sitting in front of the computer around 9am. The idea is to start working around that time, so the Spanish class would be from 9am to 11am approximately, with a short break to catch our breath.
On the days when we have a scheduled visit, after class, we will go on an excursion, to the supermarket, to the sports center, etc. It all depends on the program you have chosen. If there is no visit that day, you will have free time until lunchtime.
When our stomachs ask for food, we will prepare lunch together, although my father often cooks, so in that case, it's just a matter of setting the table and sitting down to savor the daily specialty. Lunch is the main meal of the day. An example of a menu would be: for the first course, a varied salad, and for the second course, chicken with roasted potatoes, and for dessert, fruit, yogurt, or ice cream.
In the afternoons, depending on the program you have chosen, we will go on a cultural visit, or you will have free time until dinnertime.
Dinners are usually lighter than lunch because it's important to go to bed after digestion.
As the popular saying goes, and also my father says: "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper."
Tu n’as pas d’obligation.
