Welcome to Florence
Mother of two daughters in higher education in law and business - 20 and 24 years old, we live in a very pleasant family home with a large landscaped garden in a residential neighborhood where life is good! The house is always very welcoming and so are its guests!
Coming from a background of good education, we love friendliness, good understanding, and good cheer. We are particularly attached to French values, our culture, and our beautiful region, just like our beautiful country. We especially enjoy moments of sharing meals, their preparation, our outings, and above all, being with our friendly networks in Nantes that surround us.
The company of a small dog adopted from the Society for the Protection of Animals contributes to our joy of living, our enthusiasm for enjoying life!
Being empathetic, concerned about well-being, and focused on others, I teach French to young people and adults using oral and written communication methods that inspire me. I bring listening and sharing in a spirit of openness.
Indeed, since 2015, I regularly host young French and foreign students, either during their school programs in Grandes Écoles, in Bachelor's degrees, or occasionally as a host family, especially with Irish or Spanish students.
I also welcome adults on French immersion programs for stays of 1 to 2 weeks. The stay is customized with a varying number of hours of courses per day, as well as cultural and sports activities, depending on the many possibilities offered by the city and its surroundings by the seaside.
What motivates my approach to teaching French through immersion at home is also my involvement in a customized and on-demand program specific to each individual. I like to get in tune to improve their level of French, make myself useful by providing support, involvement, and my past experiences, in exchange for the trust placed in me. After all, isn't the common goal to combine usefulness with pleasure for the well-being of everyone, while having a good time?
I have a versatile background with studies in marketing-communication in a business school, journalism in a journalism school, and certification in the digital field. I am an expert French trainer. I have worked as a communicator, web marketer, editor, creator of editorial lines, and French trainer. I have always been involved in content creation, proofreading, and maintaining proper syntax in "good French". Always focused on the French language, with an expert level in spelling and French grammar, I have also proofread and corrected novels by various authors, diving into the adventure of teaching French, which I am eager to share with you!
Since 2015, I have been regularly hosting young French students, either during their academic programs in Grandes Écoles, University Bachelor's degrees, or occasionally as host families, especially with Irish and Spanish students.
I also welcome adults participating in French immersion programs for stays of 1 to 2 weeks. The stay can be customized in terms of the number of hours of classes, depending on the desired level of involvement.
I offer a reduced rate for individual classes starting from 20 hours per week, without exceeding 30 hours per week. This is available upon request and upon receiving a quote.
Upon request and depending on your preferences, I can enhance your stay with cultural and artistic activities offered by the City of Nantes, as well as sports workshops of your choice, taking into account the possibilities in our beautiful city and its surrounding coastal areas during your visit.
To ensure total immersion for my guests, I guarantee that there are no guests of the same nationality during their stay.
I also commit to ensuring the comfort of each person in a youthful, respectful, and well-mannered atmosphere. And friendliness is always present.
"Our trip to Nantes can be done with or without a French immersion program for stays of 1 to 2 weeks à la carte:
- Mornings: exchanges and sharing around a communal breakfast,
- Number of individualized class hours ranging from 1 to 3 hours per day.
Around a meal at around 12/1pm: preparation and lunch together. Another opportunity to share your experiences in a convivial moment.
If the weather permits, meals are taken in the garden on the terrace, around a plancha or a barbecue.
Afternoons are free or accompanied according to the guests' preferences.
We are fortunate to benefit from numerous cultural, artistic and sports activities depending on the seasons, whether it be along the banks of the Loire, by the sea, in our beautiful metropolis made up of 24 towns and 11 neighborhoods with a rich history of France.
We have a city with many parks and their fauna and flora have different contours. Walks are often a common occurrence with my little dog who never gets tired.
Dinners bring together everyone who shares the house. It is a time to talk about your day, your discoveries and take the time to relax together, as a family or with friends. These evenings can be enhanced with fun board games. The good atmosphere in the neighborhood leads us to meet for an aperitif, a barbecue at one another's place. Depending on the generations, we enjoy Nantes by night to share a cocktail in town on a square, or go out to dinner at a restaurant if the opportunity arises.
