Bienvenido a casa de Arnaud y Sophie.
Somos una familia con 3 niños, dos chicos de 20 y 15 años y una chica de 17 años. Nuestros hijos son deportistas. A mi hija le gustan los juegos de mesa. Nos gustan los animales y tenemos dos (un perro y un gato). Mi marido toca la guitarra. A mí me gusta pasear a nuestra perra por el bosque. Nos gusta hacer visitas culturales a monumentos, exposiciones en París o en Versalles. Tenemos una piscina y una sala de juegos con mesa de ping-pong y futbolín.
Después de un buen desayuno, paseamos a nuestro perro en un hermoso bosque y luego nos vamos a París o Versalles para visitar, hacer una exposición de pintura u otras actividades. Por la tarde, disfrutamos de la piscina y jugamos al ping-pong, futbolín, andamos en bicicleta y jugamos tenis. Por la noche, por lo general, nos divertimos con juegos de mesa.
Notre fils a passé un super séjour chez la famille d’accueil. Comme les enfants les plus âgés n’habitent plus à la maison et le cadet était souvent occupé à autre chose, notre fils a surtout passé du temps avec les parents et la chienne. Les deux semaines se sont déroulées au lieu de vacances de la famille (car début août). Les parents étaient très engagés et ils ont montré beaucoup de sites touristiques à notre fils, sont allés faire du sport et des randonnées avec lui et lui ont ainsi transmit le goût de la région et de la culture française/basque. La cuisine reflétait cette approche ce que notre fils a bien apprécié. Nous avons aussi demandé des cours de langue qui ont été donné quotidiennement. En tout, c’était un séjour inoubliable pour notre fils – et son français c’est visiblement amélioré dans ces deux semaines! Un grand merci aux hôtes!
Our 12-year-old son's stay with this wonderful family exceeded all expectations. From the moment they picked him up at the Eurostar station (which was incredibly smooth and convenient coming from the UK), he felt welcomed into their home and daily routines. The family's location is perfect - close enough to easily visit both Paris and Versailles, where they took him on numerous cultural outings to monuments and art exhibitions. These excursions were thoughtfully planned and provided excellent opportunities for him to practice French in real-world settings. Communication before and during his stay was prompt and clear, making the entire experience stress-free for us as parents. The family also took daily photos of their activities and shared them with us, allowing us to see our son enjoying himself and creating wonderful memories. This immersion experience offered everything we hoped for our son - a genuine glimpse into French family life, countless opportunities to practice the language, cultural exploration, and fun activities. I cannot recommend this family highly enough for anyone looking for an authentic and enriching French immersion experience for their child. Thank you for making our son's stay so special and memorable!
Very nice welcoming family- organised lots of great activities and immersion in French culture both in beautiful landscape around house and in Versailles/Paris. Many thanks for a great visit!
