We are living in a very scenic part of Kilkenny. Very near tourist attractions jerpoint abbey, mount Juillet estate. Hosting academic students for a number of years now and have a lot of experience with teenagers. We are a family of 7. The best way to learn the "English" language is to totally immerse yourself in school, make new friends and have the best experience of your life.
The price listed does not include school fees, uniform, books and bus ticket and transfer to and from airport.
There are lots of activities for teenagers to get involved with during their stay in Ireland locally and through school. Soccer, Basketball, Scouts, Athletics and lots more. Fees for these can be paid directly to the clubs.
Note Linguifamily: Pas d'étudiants mineurs de Juin à fin Août car la famille travaille
I like to get school age children from 14 to 16 preferably and female. If there are siblings I have a room with bunk beds to suit.
No same nationality guests will be in the home for the duration of the stay. A full immersion programme is on offer
academic students a typical day is to get up around 7 in the morning, breakfast and into school uniform (which is probably something very different for our international students). We leave home at 7.40 and sometimes will get the bus which leaves at 8am for school. Sometimes I drive to school. School starts at 8.45, you'll have a small break at 11 and then lunch is around 1pm. School finishes at 3.45 and you take the bus home. We normally have dinner around 7pm. After that you may have an activity to go to i.e. basketball, hurling, scouts, athletics, football etc which are all available in our local town Thomastown.
On Saturdays/Sundays it is a time to relax, go to Kilkenny shopping, catch up with friends, go to the cinema or out for something to eat.
