My name is Olivier and I am a bilingual Frenchman who has been living in London for almost 30 years with my English wife, Camilla, and our two daughters (17 and 20). In addition to English and French, we also speak German. Over the past 20 years I have worked in the financial industry as a senior risk management executive. I understand both the challenges of mastering a foreign language and the expectations of professionals in a global business environment.
I founded Immerso to share my experience and coach individuals seeking to enhance their business English skills. I am a qualified TEFL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and welcome you to our family home in the heart of London for immersive courses tailored to your personal needs.
In addition to language coaching, I have a passion for the financial markets (technical analysis in particular), and for 'anything related to wine'. I am a certified technical analyst by the Society of Technical Analysts (STA) and coach technical analysis applied to financial trading. I also hold the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma and I am a presenter at several Wine Societies in South-East England.
By combining my professional experience and language teaching qualifications, I am committed to providing a comprehensive and enriching learning experience for individuals seeking to excel in their English language skills.
We only accept one student at a time (exception can be made if they are a couple).
We do offer a number of specific programmes, which you can consult on our website: www.immerslondon.com
You will stay at our family home, a semi-detached Victorian house located in North West London (map), close to the beautiful Hampstead Heath (a large park / forest) and 30 minutes from the city centre. You will have your own bedroom. We will have all our meals with my family (unless you decide otherwise or would like an evening out). Dietary requirements will be taken into account.
A typical day may start around 8am or 9am and will consist of learning activities centred around specific verbal, structural, and grammatical points. Although this can vary, you will receive an average of 25 hours of private tutoring per week. We will break for lunch around 1pm. The afternoon will comprise either more language activities or exploring London and its landmarks. In the evening, we will cook and eat dinner. All activities, lessons, and meals are taken together, either on a one-to-one basis with me (Olivier) or as a family (meals and evenings).
