Paid activities

We organise 1 weekly day trip for Summer guests and 1 monthly day trip for Academic guests. These can vary in cost. Trip options: Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, Killarney, Dublin City

A typical day at home

As a family we all rise at 7.30am for school, We sit and eat all meals together, where all guests assist with the preparation of meals. Conversation is encouraged at all times. Departure time for school is 8.45am until 4pm. There can be after school activities arranged or a trip to the local gym (which is paid by us for all our guests). During the week we do 2 evening activities eg. cinema, zumba, pitch and putt once your homework is complete. We don't have too many rules but completion of homework is a priority and lights out no later than 11pm on a week night. Summer guests are a bit more flexible, but we do insist guests part take in household tasks and meals together, as this is a necessity for building relationships and stregthens your conversation skills. Afternoons can vary from a sight seeing trip, bike riding, hurling game, pitch and putt, trip to the local town or city, or walking the hills with our dogs. We always try and arrange 1 full day trip weekly for our summer guests which is a 8am departure until late. For our academic guests we organise one full day activity a month, this is extra from the normal activities. Once students have their homework completed we encourage them to interact with school friends, visit the local gym or interact with the family.
